MotoAdventure North Platte River KLR Tour - June 28th & 29th

KLR NORTH PLATTE RIVER RIDE ITINERARY

 
SATURDAY JUNE 28

-7:00 am: Meet at McDonalds on the corner of Harmony and College. The morning portion of today's ride will be a mostly paved route through our scenic Colorado mountains and southern Wyoming. Don't forget to bring trail snacks and plenty of water. We will cover approximately 280 miles today.
 
-1:00 pm: Lunch in Riverside, Wyoming. This time is approximate, so if you tend to get hungry earlier, just take the lead and pull the rest of us along. Once our belly's are full, we travel north along the east side of Seminoe Reservoir with a planned stop at Seminoe Dam. Now would be a bad time to realize that you forgot your camera!!
 
-Saturday Evening: Arrive at Alcova Reservoir. We have four cabins reserved, which will each accommodate two or three snoring KLR riders . Campsites are available for those of you who actually want to sleep.
 

SUNDAY JUNE 29

-Eat breakfast at a local restaurant and plan (or not) or route across Shirley Basin and the Laramie Mountains.  We should see some dirt riding today.  Those of you who could not sleep the night before could use the time checking or sabotaging air filters on your bunkmate's bike.
 
-Our linchtime destination will be Glendo Reservoir.  For thiose who wish, you may dip your dogs in the North Platte and clear your airways of the morning dust.  This evenings shower will be iin Scottsbluff, Nebraska.. That's right!  By the end of the day, this ride will be a glorious Three-state Touring Adventure.
 
 
MONDAY JUNE 30

-Tears may be shed at breakfast, as this is our last day.  The planned event is to tour the Museum and find out all the things we should have seen or learned about the North Platte River basin.
 
Next Stop- Fort Collins.
